2 separate shootings in Greensboro can be investigated on Sunday; a sufferer dies later | crime

GREENSBORO – A 17-year-old has died after being shot dead overnight, Greensboro police said in a press release.

Police identified the victim on Sunday as Traveyon Deandre Hairston from Greensboro. The police are investigating his death as a homicide.

At 11:19 p.m. on Saturday, police at the 2000 block on Ellington Street responded about a shooting. The officers located Hairston, who was in stable condition at the time. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment by the ambulance service.

GREENSBORO – Authorities are investigating two shootings that occurred in Greensboro this weekend, according to police press releases.

The first shooting occurred shortly after 11 p.m. on Saturday in the 2000 block on Ellington Street.

At 11:19 p.m., the local officials reacted and found a man with a gunshot wound, the police said. He was in stable condition and was taken to a local hospital for treatment by the ambulance service.

The second shooting occurred on Sunday morning. At 5:18 am, officials at Moses Cone Hospital responded regarding a walk-in gunshot victim. The victim was shot in the 3800 block of North Church Street, police said. He was treated and listed in stable condition.
