GREENSBORO – A Greensboro man was charged Wednesday in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found almost a month after she disappeared, police said in a press release.
According to police, 40-year-old Nikki Shore was reported missing in Greensboro on March 1, but has not been heard since February 22. On March 18, Shore’s body was found at Browns Summit and the case was classified as murder, police said.
Investigations by the Guilford County Police Department and Sheriff’s Office resulted in officials accusing 27-year-old Jacques Silkett of first degree murder and robbery.
Silkett was already being held in Guilford County Detention Center when the new charges were served. He’s going to stay in jail without bail, police said.
