Automobile hit in gunfire in Greensboro, injuring 1, police say | crime

GREENSBORO – Authorities are investigating after a person was shot and a vehicle was hit by gunfire on Thursday afternoon, police said in a press release.

At around 2:25 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting at the intersection of Bracyridge Road and Beechcroft Drive and found a victim to be shot. The victim was taken to a local hospital, according to police.

A nearby vehicle was also hit by gunfire. No one was injured in the vehicle, the police said.

Police did not provide any information about suspects and said the investigation is ongoing.
