Automotive crashes into cliffs, bushes and street indicators, killing the motive force and injuring a passenger, Greensboro Police say | Native

GREENSBORO – A driver died and a passenger was injured when his vehicle hit a rock wall, trees and street signs on Saturday night, Greensboro police said in a press release.

Officers responded to the crash on North Elm Street near Waldron Drive at 11:47 p.m. The officers found that the Dodge Challenger had left the lane to the right and collided with road signs, trees and a rock wall on Sommerton Drive.

The driver and passenger were taken to Moses Cone Hospital, where the driver reportedly died of injuries sustained in the accident.

The passenger was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, the police said.

The Greensboro Police Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating. Further information was not immediately available.
