GREENSBORO – Several free COVID-19 testing events will be held in Greensboro throughout the rest of August.

According to a press release from Cone, Cone Health and Guilford County Public Health are working together to make test materials more efficient and offer extended hours and access to tests.

The tests can be carried out without a doctor’s prescription, appointment or health insurance company. Is tested:

  • 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday Daystar Church, 1806 Merritt Drive.
  • 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, Mount Zion United Church of God, 704 Banner Ave.
  • 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. August 27, Daystar Church, 1806 Merritt Drive.

People who come to test should wear a mask. A swab is used to collect a sample and test results will be returned in about 72 hours, Cone Health said.

Testing is free for participants. Although insurance is not required, according to Cone Health, those insured should bring their card with them.

Cone Health urges people who live or work in places with a lot of public interaction, such as z -19 risk factors.
