Councilor Yvonne Johnson Pronounces Greensboro Metropolis Council candidacy | Native information

GREENSBORO – Councilor Yvonne Johnson will run for a seat on the city council again, saying her priorities are jobs, safety and quality of life.

Johnson, who has been mayor since 2011, was Greensboro Mayor from 2007 to 2009. Before that, she had a seat on the Council from 1993 to 2007.

On her Facebook voting page, Johnson says her mission is “to get the people of Greensboro to work, keep all of our citizens safe, protect the environment and well-manage the city’s resources”.

Election day is November 7th. The primaries, if necessary in the big race, will take place on October 10th.

The submission runs until July 21st. The candidates run for four years this year.
