Execution sufferer dies on Sunday; Greensboro police reveal his identification | crime

GREENSBORO – A man shot dead early Sunday morning has died of his injuries, Greensboro police said in a press release on Sunday afternoon.

Police identified him as Mark Anthony Dickerson Jr., 40, of Greensboro.

Police who responded to a report of a “man down” on the 300 block on Edwards Road at 1:11 am Sunday found Dickerson with a gunshot wound.

The police are now investigating the incident as a homicide.

The investigation continues, the police said.

GREENSBORO – Authorities are investigating a shooting in the 300 block of Edwards Road, according to a Greensboro Police press release.

At 1:11 am on Sunday, officials answered a call about a “man downstairs”.

They found a person with a gunshot wound, the statement said. She did not provide any information about the person’s condition.
