Free meals is out there in Greensboro church buildings on Mondays and Tuesdays | Native

GREENSBORO – According to press releases from two church organizations, food will be given away on Monday and Tuesday.

Both drive-up events are open to everyone and people are asked to wear a mask to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The Greensboro District African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church Missionary Society is sponsoring the event on Monday from 1pm to 1pm at Trinity AME Zion Church, 631 E. Florida St.

Fresh vegetables, meat and all the ingredients for preparing a New Year’s Eve dinner as well as ready-made meals are offered.

Mount Olivet AME Zion Church – Come to the Table Ministries is sponsoring the event on Tuesday from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm at the church on 2123 McConnell Road. Walk-up recipients are welcome to the event, made possible by funding from the Guilford Cares Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act.

The church also offers a year-round pantry, community garden, and a blessing box for donations.
