Greensboro, NC (February 18, 2021) – Believe in the G is the perfect day for the UNC Greensboro community to wear their blues and golds and show off their spartan spirit.

The UNCG’s annual 24-hour giving, Believe in the G, runs from Thursday, March 4th, 12:00 noon through Friday, March 5th, 12:00 noon.

During the 24-hour campaign, alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents, and friends are encouraged to wear blue and gold, share their UNCG story on social media, and give gifts of all sizes.

“This day is a perfect opportunity to show your pride in all things UNCG,” says Beth Fischer, Vice Chancellor for University Funding. “It is also an ideal time to give something back, to support our students and to get tangibly involved in the educational mission of our university.”

Funds raised from the campaign will support a variety of departments and initiatives on the UNCG campus, including student scholarships, academic programs and campus resources.

Lots of fun challenges will make the day stand out. For example, in the Furry Friend Challenge, the most creative picture of a Spartan in Spartan gear wins an award for his school or college and a UNCG pet bandana. In another social media challenge, the donor with the most creative selfie of the day wins a UNCG swag bag and a prize for the school or college of their choice.

All Spartans are encouraged to use the hashtag #BelieveintheG.
