Greensboro Coliseum Opens New Venue, Piedmont Corridor | Weblog: Go Triad – A&E Further

Live Nation’s Clubs & Theaters division owns, operates and books world-renowned clubs and theaters, including legendary US venues such as The Wiltern in Los Angeles and The Tabernacle in Atlanta, as well as the House of Blues and Fillmore venues.

Piedmont Hall will support the city’s efforts to attract and retain younger people, Brown said.

It will attract bigger bands that some of the smaller local venues can’t play, he said.

It will also play a role in hosting pre- and post-tournament tailgating celebrations for three weeks in March, when the Coliseum hosts the women’s and men’s ACC basketball tournaments and then six first and second round games of the men’s NCAA basketball tournament aligns, said Braun.

The amenities include the latest sound and lighting technology, food stalls, first-class bar service, an outdoor terrace and an adjoining dining area. It meets the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act for accessibility.

Visitor parking spaces are available in the parking lots of the Colosseum complex.

This complex also includes the Colosseum Arena with 22,000 seats, Special Events Center with 5,000 seats, Amphitheater with 7,000 seats, Odeon Theater with 300 seats, The Terrace Banquet Hall, Greensboro Aquatic Center and The Fieldhouse, where the Greensboro basketball team Swarm is playing.
