Greensboro man fatally shot in November | crime
GREENSBORO – A Greensboro man was charged in a November shooting that killed another local man.
Michael Antonio Whorley, 39, was arrested Tuesday by the violent prosecution team of Greensboro Police Department, police said in a press release. He was charged with first degree murder in the death of 30-year-old Lashon Ellerbe, also from Greensboro.
Officials responded to a report of a gun fired at 1017 Logan Street at around 9:50 p.m. on November 16 and found Ellerbe injured. He died the next day.
Whorley is also charged with the possession of a firearm by a criminal. He is being held in Guilford County Jail without bail.
