If you are planning a quiet afternoon stroll downtown on Sunday April 28th, you may want to reschedule.
The Greensboro Food Truck Festival runs from 3pm to 9pm and will fill the streets of Elm, Greene and Market with food, people, music and activities.
Over 50 food trucks offer a wide variety of culinary options, from lobster to donuts. Picnic tables are available for those who do not want to eat standing up.
In addition to the wide range of food, there is also a large selection of craft beer and North Carolina wine.
Live music on the corner of Elm and Market is provided by Greg Musgrove from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Lane Edwards Band from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Larry LAdadj from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
In the corner of Elm and Market is also Chalk on Elm, where local chalk artists will compete for the title of best chalk artist in the triad.
My Crew Comic is holding a dance competition in Governmental Plaza from 4pm to 8pm
There are activities for children such as face painting, rubber dinghies and fire truck rides.
The event is free, but the food, beer, and wine are not.
