Greensboro Nursing House COVID-19 Outbreak Declared Finish | Native
GREENSBORO – A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared over at a Guilford County nursing home, according to state health officials.
Camden Health and Rehabilitation at 1 Marithe Court has been removed from the state’s list of persistent outbreaks, according to a report released Tuesday.
The NC Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services tracks outbreaks in community housing. An outbreak is defined as two or more laboratory-confirmed cases. NCDHHS considers an outbreak to be over if there is no evidence of continued transmission within the last 28 days.
According to Tuesday’s report, the Camden outbreak included 39 cases of the coronavirus that affected 16 residents and 23 employees, as well as two resident deaths.
There is often a delay between the time cases and deaths are reported at the local level and the time dates appear in the state reports.
