Highway works to shut I-73 South Bridge in Greensboro in a single day tonight and presumably Saturday, says DOT | Native information

GREENSBORO – Interstate 73 South Bridge over Interstate 40 will be closed overnight tonight and possibly Saturday for pavement repairs.

The crews plan to close the southbound bridge from 11 p.m. today to 7 a.m. Saturday, NC’s Department of Transportation said in a press release. If more time is needed, the street could be closed for a second night from Saturday 11pm to Sunday 8am.

The diversion takes traffic via I-40 West to Gallimore Dairy Road and then via I-40 East back to I-73 South.

DOT warns drivers to slow down and approach this area carefully and allow extra time for the detour route.
