James “Jim” Edward Crenshaw, Sr., 90, went to see his master on Sunday, December 5, 2021. His parents, Clarence Robert Crenshaw and Lillian Gillespie Crenshaw, preceded him in death; Stepmother Thelma Crenshaw and sisters Grace Ryals and Martha Carver and son James Edward Crenshaw Jr. He leaves behind his 70-year-old loving wife Geraldine “Jerrie” Hemphill Crenshaw; Daughter, Patricia C. Ghering (Douglas) of Summerfield and son, Gary Lee Crenshaw, Sr. from Raleigh, NC, sister, Florence Tuttle of Greensboro. James was blessed with 3 grandchildren, Leslie Arial, Christopher Arial, and Gary Crenshaw, Jr. (Leah) and a great-grandson, Lucas James Crenshaw. James was the manager of Boise Cascade and the owner of Crenshaw Office Products for 17 years. He was a longtime member of the Tabernacle United Methodist Church and the Friendly Sunday School. He liked to fix cars or anything that required work; he loved the outdoors, feeding the deer and camping. He loved college basketball, his Atlanta Braves, and enjoyed watching western movies. A funeral will take place on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 12 noon at the Tabernacle United Methodist Church. A tour of Forbis & Dick, Pleasant Garden Chapel will take place on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, commemorative donations can be made to Tabernacle UMC, 5721 Methodist Road, Greensboro, NC 27406.
