Malek Moore arrested in Greensboro | information

GREENSBORO, NC (September 9, 2021) – At around 1:35 p.m., officers from the Greensboro Police Department’s violent criminal arrest team arrested Malek Anthony Moore on East Market Street in Greensboro. After receiving a call from a local police officer, police on the 800 block on East Market Street responded and took Moore into custody without incident.

Moore was wanted by the Greensboro Police Department for the first degree murder that occurred on 9/3/21 at 2805 Patterson Street. Moore, was also wanted for first degree murder by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg police for a murder on 06/09/21.

On September 3, at around 11:03 am on September 9, Greensboro police responded to the 2800 block of Patterson Street regarding an unknown call from a problematic person. Upon arrival, the officers found a dead person. The victim was identified as Christian Mbimba, 21 years old from Nashville, TN.

Moore is being detained in the Guilford County Jail without being bonded.
