Man charged with DWI, dying in motorized vehicle after being hit and killed on Friday in Greensboro | crime

GREENSBORO – A Greensboro man is charged with the death of a pedestrian who was beaten and killed Friday night.

The pedestrian was crossing the intersection of West Wendover Avenue and Big Tree Way towards traffic lights just after 10 p.m. on Friday when he was hit and killed by a Nissan Versa Note driven by 61-year-old Tyrone Terry Lambert, the shared Police with a press release.

Lambert has been charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a license revoked, and death by a motor vehicle. He is being held in Guilford County Jail on $ 15,000 bail.

Police withhold the victim’s name until the family can be notified.
