Martha was born on September 5, 1940 in Southampton, New York, to Frederic Fernley Bush and Marjorie Jean McCartney.

Martha named Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior and actively attended Westover Church. Martha was grateful to be called a friend of Bill W and a respected member of the AA community. She has spent much of her life working with others to find the peace and serenity that a sober, useful life brings. Martha had a particular fondness for fuck and beach music. She has had a rewarding career as a real estate appraiser for over 25 years. Her last position before retiring was at Taylor and Associates Appraisers, Inc.

She will always be remembered by family and friends as a loving woman who gave her time to help others.

A celebration of life service is scheduled for Sunday, August 8th at 2:00 p.m. at Westover Church, 505 Muirs Chapel Road, Greensboro, NC. Immediately afterwards there will be a reception in the Activity Center. Pastor Matt Burkett will officiate. Everyone is cordially invited to be there and celebrate Martha’s life.
