Nameless donations improve the reward to $ 20,000 for intelligence on the Greensboro restaurant proprietor’s homicide | crime

GREENSBORO – With an additional $ 10,000 anonymous donations, the full price of information about the death of restaurant owner Mark Freedman last year is now $ 20,000.

Crime Stoppers said in a press release Wednesday that private donations rose from $ 8,000 to $ 18,000. That’s on top of the $ 2,000 Crime Stoppers.

Police found 63-year-old Freedman dead in a vehicle on November 4, 2020 at 3:25 am in front of his restaurant at 616 Dolley Madison Road. A police spokesman said at the time that Freedman had been shot and that his death was being investigated as a homicide .

Police have not released any further details about what might have happened to Freedman, the owner and chef of Mark’s Restaurant, that night.
