Boger, Nellie Marie Mills

September 3, 1927 – October 12, 2021

Nellie was born in Greensboro on September 3, 1927. Her parents were Hettie Alvis Mills and Leland Albert Mills, the brothers Winfred Mills, William J. Mills and Clarence H. Mills.

Nellie leaves her son Alan Lane Boger Sr .; Grandson Alan Lane Boger Jr. and his wife LouAnne Boger; four great-grandchildren, Dylan, Cohen, Claire, and Ryan, whom she loved dearly; Nieces, nephews, special friends Mary and Suzanne Harvell, Richard and Gloria Nichols, and Ellen Pearson. She was a lifelong member of the Stevens Memorial Baptist Church. She attended the Presbyterian Church of the Cross for many years. She loved her many caring friends in the Church. Nellie worked for Burlington Mills for 30 years and for US label for 25 years.

Mrs. Boger will share her memorial with her son Lacy Edward Boger, Sr. “Ricky” was born on November 3rd, 1949 at St. Leo’s Hospital. He served in the US Southwind, an icebreaker, for the US Coast Guard. He was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church. As a child he laid the last cornerstone of the church. Both Grandma Boger and Ricky were loved by everyone. They will have a joint funeral service at the Lebanon Baptist Church on Saturday, October 16 at 1pm. Friends and family are welcome.
