New Aldi retailer to open subsequent week on the Battleground in Greensboro | Enterprise premises

GREENSBORO – A new Aldi store will open on Battleground Avenue next week.

The super discount grocery chain announced that its newest store on Battleground Ave. 2965 opens on September 16 at 9 a.m. The store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., the company said in a press release on Tuesday.

It will be the fourth Aldi store in Greensboro. The other stores are located at 2920 Randleman Road, 4222 W. Gate City Blvd. and 1507 New Garden Road.

Aldi stores are typically around 12,000 square feet with open ceilings and natural light. They are also built from environmentally friendly materials, the company said.

“ALDI is one of the fastest growing retailers in America because we provide a convenient shopping experience for affordable, trendy and sustainable goods,” said Krystal Cearley, regional vice president of the grocery chain in Salisbury, in the announcement. “We have served this community for more than 17 years and look forward to continuing to offer Greensboro residents high quality, fresh food and affordable prices in every ALDI aisle every day.”

In addition to setting up new shops in the entire district, Aldi plans to expand the pick-up service for groceries on the roadside to 500 more shops.
