New parking deck opens on North Eugene Road in downtown Greensboro, town says | Native

GREENSBORO – The first new downtown parking deck in more than 30 years is open and accepts hourly and monthly parkers, the city said in a press release.

The Eugene Street Parking Deck is located at 215 N. Eugene St., across from Newbridge Bank Park. It will add 950 new areas to the city center, the city announced.

The new parking deck provides parking space for the adjacent $ 140 million mixed-use building, Project Slugger. According to the city, the deck will also be used as a visitor parking lot for baseball games and as an overflow parking lot for the Tanger Center for the Performing Art.

The deck has automated tills, charging areas for electric vehicles, and bike racks. There are entrances on Bellemeade and Eugene Streets.
