The robbery was reported shortly after 10:45 p.m. on Monday at the Food Lion on 3516 Drawbridge Parkway.

According to police, a clerk and two other workers were in the shop when two men with hidden faces and handguns entered the shop. The suspects held the employee at gunpoint while they stole an unspecified amount of cash.

The suspects left the main entrance in an unknown direction.

None of the employees were injured.

Detailed descriptions of the suspects were not available.

A similar robbery occurred late Sunday evening at the Food Lion on 2208 Golden Gate Drive. In the incident, police said that a male employee collecting shopping trolleys in the store’s parking lot was approached by a man armed with a pistol and covered his face with a bandana.

The suspect had “repeatedly hit the employee with the gun” before forcing him into the store, the police said. According to the police, the suspect was holding the victim and two other employees at gunpoint.

Police released surveillance photos of the suspect, but it was not clear whether the suspect had been identified.
