Soften Kitchen and Bar closes in Greensboro

The owner of the Greensboro restaurant recently had to cut hours due to a lack of staff.

GREENSBORO, NC – A popular Greensboro restaurant is closing its doors.

Melt Kitchen and Bar is on New Garden Road, and if you’ve been there or drove past you know it is usually quite busy.

The business started years ago and opened in a location on Golden Gate Drive where Rascal’s Tavern is now.

Like many others, the restaurant has struggled to stay open due to the pandemic.

The owner recently had to cut working hours due to a lack of staff.

Melt Kitchen and Bar was based in Greensboro for six years.

Co-owner Kim Brewer posted a goodbye message on the restaurant’s social media accounts.

It partly says: “We hope to be able to open the Melt again very soon for a celebration and a visit to our guests. At the moment it is time to concentrate on our family.”
