The participatory budgeting vote ends Thursday for residents of Greensboro Metropolis | information
GREENSBORO, NC (October 28, 2019) – Residents have until midnight Thursday to cast their votes to decide how to spend $ 500,000 in public funds in the city of Greensboro. Residents 14 and older can now apply for Participatory Budgeting (PB) Greensboro programs or projects in their city council district www.PBGreensboro.com.
Residents need a mobile phone to get a dial code. Residents who do not wish to use their cell phones can email PB Greensboro for a code. Submit your name, date of birth, home address and Council district to [email protected] by Thursday, October 31st, 5 p.m. to receive your code.
Around 3,000 people have taken part so far. This year’s PB ballot papers include a downtown trolley pilot program that must be approved by all counties to pass, pedestrian crossing improvements, park expansions, accessibility improvements, a youth career program, public arts, and a community farmers market pilot program.
