GREENSBORO – The application deadline for the Greensboro Police Civic College 2022 is open, the department said in a press release.

The program, which is slated to begin on January 24th, will run through April 13th, with sessions every Wednesday evening and a “demonstration session” every Monday evening of the month, the department said.

The aim of the academy is to give participants a better understanding of the police department and to make Greensboro safe for all people.

Program participants will learn from experts from across the department and will depart with a better understanding of police responsibilities, the department said.

The 2022 program’s cohort will have masked, socially distant students attending in person and a small group attending through Zoom. Those attending through Zoom will not be able to attend face-to-face, hands-on demonstrations, the department said.
