Weldon White passed away peacefully on April 26, 2021 after a brief illness. He was born on May 5, 1939, the son of Walter and Lizzie White.
A lifelong resident of Greensboro, Weldon graduated from James B. Dudley High School. He served honorably in the US Air Force and retired from Bell South after 38 years of service. During this time he received several awards for excellent work.
Weldon loved traveling with special friends and loved exploring new and exciting places. He was a devoted son, brother, and uncle; and will really be missed. In front of him lie his parents and the brothers Walter White Jr. and John White. To remember a brother, Gurney White, the niece Marquita Hunter (Clarence), the nephews Brian White (Shawn) and Damien White; five great-nieces and one great-great-nephew.
A public tour will take place on Thursday, April 29, 2021, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Perry J. Brown Undertaker’s Chapel (909 E. Market St., Greensboro). On Friday, April 30, 2021 at 12 noon, funeral services will be held at the grave at Forest Lawn Cemetery (3901 Forest Lawn Dr.). Charitable contributions can be made to Shiloh Baptist Church, of which he was a lifelong member.
