Win a classic Greensboro Hornets jersey from 1984!

GREENSBORO, NC – If you’re old enough to remember when the Greensboro Grasshoppers were called the Greensboro Hornets then tonight we have a “must do” event for you!

How about a chance to win a vintage game-worn jersey?

The jerseys will be auctioned off to fans this year via a digital platform, as will a special edition jersey for fans attending the game on Thursday, August 19th. Proceeds from the jersey auctions will benefit Raising Roofs for Habitat for Humanity of Greensboro in partnership with the Greensboro Builders Association. Previous Jersey Nights raised over $ 92,000 in donations to support the program.

Even the players will be wearing vintage-style jerseys from the Hornets baseball team. These jerseys will be auctioned online and bidding will end on Friday, August 20th at midnight. There will be a special edition of the “84” jersey that will be auctioned live during the game on Thursday. Due to COVID-19 restrictions at MLB, winners will have the option to ship or collect the jerseys after Monday 23 August.

Both Habitat for Humanity and Raising Roofs serve in the Greensboro area to open new opportunities and pathways to success for the community. Raising Roofs is a collaboration between the Greensboro Builders Association and Habitat for Humanity. With money, time and donations in kind, 64 houses could be built. Builders, contractors and suppliers kindly donate their time and materials to make this organization work.
